I'm currently building my 1st AR15 (.223/5.56) and I am looking for a good Bolt Carrier Group for my MUR Vltor upper and M&P lower. Any suggestions?

I'd probably go with a LMT Full Auto BCG or similar product for cheaper than the DPMS. If I was doing a build from the ground up, I would do the Fail Zero (NiB) coating too.OCSD Approved CCW Instructor

There's reports of people putting 5k rounds through an un-lubricated rifle that was coated with NiB. How is that not worth it?OCSD Approved CCW Instructor

from what i hear bcm is top notch when it comes to ar's. ive also heard the fail zero's BCG are great, whats your opinion on them specifically? its always good to hear the opinion from someone who has the supposedly "GOOD" stuff.

Well my personal 2 cents is that I would not buy one again. Its a waste of money. I have tried running my rifle dry many times, and I will get a nasty jam sometimes every 2-5 rounds. If I lube it up, it runs great! But if its dry, then sometimes I have to take a hammer to the charging handle to get the damn bolt open...
Like I said, its my 2 cents, and perhaps others have had better luck. Myself however, I will just buy BCM on my next build and call it a day. I will lube it the same anyway, so it really doesnt matter...Comment

That's interesting... I've been running grease in my AR up until the other night, when I switched to Froglube. I'm interested to see how that runs compared to the grease which I never had a single problem with.
Anyways, as for the BCG, I'd get a FA one. They're a little stronger and heavier.OCSD Approved CCW Instructor
