Most people will say double hook. I have both and to be honest I can tell the difference.

Tapco G2. Hook style depends on your receiver. You can use a single hook in a double hook receiver, just not the other way around unless you want to cut for the second hook.

          Thanks
I will be using an AK-Builders flat and the pic looks to be for a single hook.
Looks easy enough to mod for the double hook.
But is one better than the other ?
Why choose one over the other ?

The only difference is that one has two hooks, and the other has one...

I've never noticed a difference between them. I use the single hooks only because I'm lazy and don't feel like notching the receiver.

The 47 and 74 flats I have are all single hook so I'd assume all of his flats are single hook. I don't see how either one is better than the other, the hook(s) only exist to catch the hammer. I don't know what a standard AK uses but AK-Builder flats and Nodakspud receivers are single hook and Tapco flats are double hook. It really doesn't matter but if your buying a AKB flat it would make the most sense to go with the single hook.

my first ak build i used a double hook trigger, just had to notch out a area for the second hook to clear the receiver. personally theirs no real difference. as far as triggers go its ak no need to spend a lot of money for a trigger when the rifle wont really shoot that precise in the first place. tapco g2 or theres the standard arsenal trigger as well.

single hook. the double hook is a fix for a non existent problem

Seems to me that the red star or arsenal triggers slap like a mofo. The Tapco is easier to install, no meddling with the return spring - just drop it in and pop the apex pin through.

I use the double hook trigger to hone my angle grinder practice.
