arsenal inc bullet button replacement!

Hi guys, I'm new to forum, and a newby to all the california rules of assault rifles. Can anyone give me advice on how to replace the mag release from my arsenal inc ak with one that ill be able to take off fairly easy, and also do I need to buy other parts? My arsenal inc comes with a lil tool Id rather use bullet

go to akbuilder.com they have the magazine catch lever, pivot pin and spring needed to do the conversion all for about $15. But dont forget the rad lock to make it Cali. compliant. Hope this helps

i probably have to rivet the trigger guard in right? and maybe drill the old one out!

Go to AKbuilder.com . Your looking for the magazine catch, pivot pin, and spring(tho you may be able to reuse the stock spring) should be about $15 shipped. All you need is a dremel tool, a punch and a little patience. Takes all of about 45 mins to complete the conversion. Dont forget the rad lock or any other compliant Ca. mag lock. PM me if you need any help, I have done a few in my time and you can't ever tell the Arsenal Ca. lock was ever installed. I have been VERY happy with my SGL23 and SGL33 ever since. Cheers!

thanks for all the tips, I really appreciate it. Your riffle look SWEEET where can I get furniture like that for mine? I have the polymer foregrip and stock. One more question, Am I gonna need to buy new rivets or use the old ones? Thanks for your time.

Unless I am missing something, you shouldn't have to remove any rivets. I haven't looked at an Arsenal AK up close but I believe the lock is held in place by just the pivot pin.

Don't forget to remove your pistol grip and any other prohibited features before you change the lock to avoid creating an AW.

You need to carefully drill or grind off the flared end of the pivot pin. Everything drops out, and you can replace with a standard AK/AKM mag release and spring.

You dont have to remove any rivets. like the post above you have to CAREFULLY grind down one side of the mag catch pivot pin very thin and punch it through. Hard part is aligning the new spring and pushing the new pivot pin through the spring/mag catch, then you Just have to crush the ends of the mag catch pivot pin(as it is cupped on both ends) so the pivot pin does not walk. Its easy to do with a vise and 1/4' ball bearings on either side. or a very small ballping hammer. But make sure the pivot pin can still rotate in the trigger guard hole. It take all of about 45 mins. There is also a special tool to crush the ends but its not necessary

whats is the best bullet button to get for my arsenal? there are 2 different models i like, just trying to stay away for a radlock type which you would need an extra tool, ide rather just use a bullet tip.

I would look at Solar tactical, it's what I have on mine and it works great! Get the magazine wraps with the little black tabs ( for lack of a better or cruder word ) and it makes changing mag's quick.

Or go featureless, and skip the mag lock all together.
