So I've been thinking about spending the $120-$160 on Meprolight night sights or some other upgraded sights for my Kimber Custom II, but I've also been thinking of ways to avoid it...
I was wondering if anybody on here has already devised an effective, and EASY way to install their own 3-dot sight system.
I've been reading online and apparently people have :
1) Painted their own dots
2) Took a 1/16" drill bit and milled some holes, then dropped sight paint in
3) Used some type of stickers you can put on the stock sights
I really want a 3-dot aiming system on the Kimber but the $160ish price tag is quite the effective deterrent. So please, enlighten me with your success stories, post your tutorials, post your pictures, and lets see what we can do for my flat back sights!
**One last question**: Anybody who has used the Meprolight sights in the regular 3-dot AND target configuration(horizontal bar on back sight, dot on front sight). Are the "target" meprolight sights any more accurate? Or do the regular 3-dot sights seem to be more accurate?(Target shooting)
