AMD65 pistol build question

I been thinking of building a ak pistol out of a
AMD65.(single shot) I was wondering if I were to leave the
wire stock lock closed position and removed the
front pistol grip and add a mag lock am I good to go or thats
a no-no.

I would think that technically it would still have a stock. So it would be a SBR.

Stock = rifle. OK with extended muzzle device

Stock+OEM 12.5" barrel = SBR No bueno, club fed bound.

No stock + forward grip = AOW No bueno, club fed bound.

No stock, no forward grip = Legal with CA compliant parts and 10 round mag.

Just remove the stock all together and use a standard flat with that trunnion for the build. That way there are no questions as to whether there was a stock installed or not.
