    AR-15 magazine issues

Hello, I would like help in troubleshooting an issue with my new AR-15 magazines. These magazines jam the bolt when they're loaded and I press the bolt release. The bolt carrier will pick up a round and start to feed it into the barrel but then stop abruptly over the magazine. I suspect the lips on the magazine are too high, but I'd like to hear what you guys have to say on such an occurrence. To clarify, this isn't an ammunition problem, I've identified that this problem only happens with two specific identical magazines I just got, and no others.

    Thanks in advance.

Can you see if there is contact? And what brand are these?

That bolt is coming pretty pretty hard so if it is hitting the feed lips, do a quick spray with black spray paint or something, let it dry. Then when you do it again, let it happen once or twice and see where the paint is rubbing off or bare metal is showing.

Alright, I'll give it a whirl and see what's hitting where.

If it's only happening with two specific mags and no other ones, why keep trying to use them ?

Right, bolt is catching on the top of the feeding lips, but doesn't appear that bending or altering will save these guys. Thanks for the feedback guys.

Junk the mags and get new quality mags.

Take the bum mags back & swap them.
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

All of my mags started off that way for the first 10-20 rounds. Had to use the FA button for every shot. After that, though, they've fed flawlessly.

Mags didn't have a brand oddly enough, just got them at a gun show from a vendor who stocked all different kinds for all different firearms. Thanks for the help again guys.
