        Okay... who are you?
You just posted in another thread (that was quickly closed) offering advice and asking people to contact you at your business (a very well known business that supports Calguns and their members).

Now you're asking questions that an employee of that business would likely know... and anyone offering advice on the AR pattern had better know?

        Something doesn't smell right.

In the JD machine build thread he spoke as if he was a rep for JD.

            Interesting...

              I'm confused?
              What's the problem?
Is he a banned member trying to use different SN?

I'm wondering if he's a new employee at JD, a former employee (not likely), or as you suggested, a former member (or even employee from a competitor) looking to stir up crap and make JD look bad.

A new employee or new manager (or even owner?) could explain the lack of knowledge of sources for some parts, particularly if JD is just getting into complete assembled lowers.

That's why I asked (and may have been a bit too accusatory in the way I did so). I was under the impression that JD had always built and sold completed rifles, but with recent events, there may have been some employee/management changes, and they may want to offer some options that aren't common in completed lowers.

Rareair covered the bolt catch units perfectly... I've never seen the Wilson unit and I like it... but the disconnector question is baffling.
Personally, I stick with RRA lower parts kits. I bought a couple of Stag kits, but was not happy with the way the trigger and disconnector fit together... way too tight and the disconnector didn't seem to work properly. I replaced it with an RRA before completing the build because I was worried about trigger slap causing an inadvertent bump-fire.

Overall, I'm not impressed with Stag. There's nothing wrong with their lowers or uppers overall, but the gas key on my Stag BCG was not staked, and the LPK issue really has me leaning towards the "anti-stag" crowd.

                But I digress....

                          Okay, that makes perfect sense.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure there are many people here that can answer that.

Just as JD makes/made lowers for Spikes, Noveske, and others, most people are not aware of the actual manufacturer of most of their parts... like the fact that for every 10 barrel "brands" available there are only a couple of manufacturers.

Might do better sending a direct PM to some of the 07FFLs such as Oc Armory, Riflegear, TenPercent, PRK, etc....

It is not profitable to make them brand new due to the fact that for one they have been made since the 50's and they only cost 1$-2$ already made when we would have to tool up plus buy a new casting unit and stamping unit it's just not worth it but I want to find an good mfg. So that we all don't keep having this problem with pretty much every ar out there where the disconector is not to the proper spec.

No problems with my RRA disconnectors.
Stag? Ya... problems. Didn't "rock" properly in the trigger slot and on function test, it looked like I would have had nasty trigger slap.
My RRA units have been perfect.

Part of the problem with the disconnector is when there are problems, it could be either the disco or the hammer itself. That was a problem I had on the TDS group buy LPKs last year. The thing would fire on safe, and the disconnector would not rock back enough to clear the hammer... MAJOR trigger slap.
TDS's solution was to ship replacement hammers that had been trimmed down. That took care of the disconnector issue and they worked fine for that portion of the function test, but even the "new" hammer would still fire when on "safe".

I replaced the trigger, disco, and safety with RRA parts and the problem remained. I reinstalled the TDS parts and swapped in the RRA hammer... problem went away.
