    Double Barrel Disassembly

I recently acquired an N.R. Davis "Maximin" double barrel 16 ga. hammerless shotgun. It's in pretty sad shape, but I like it and would like to have the barrel and action parkerized. I hear they can be a can of worms to disassemble, so how much should it cost to have a gunsmith take it apart and re-assemble it when it's done?

you may get better and more accurate results if you survey the prices from your local gunsmiths.

I thought maybe some of the local gunsmiths hung out here. Gunsmithing forum and all.

I want the action disassembled so I can have it parkerized, then re-assembled when finished. A photo of the assembled action wouldn't so much good. It would take an answer from someone who is familiar with older double-barrel actions.

I might be interested. I also do parkerizing. What is your budget?

No budget. I'll snap a few photos and let you see what it looks like.

Do you ever make it to the central valley (Stockton vicinity)? I have a 5000 sq ft warehouse full of tradin' material, too. If you ever come over here, you could take a peek.
