This is an option for the upper/buffer. Just need the lower and a lpk.

Which hand guard did you get. I'm about a week away from pulling the trigger on the TM 80% lower and templates

I'm going with the Midwest Industries SS-Series Free Float carbine.

Back in Dec. I built a AR pistol for a co worker using a YH free float.

It turned out great but I have the above for my AR rifle in Mid-length and I like the feel and profile.
            Here is a pic.

The pistol looks pretty good. Is that a 7 1/2 barrel? I might take the midwest free float off my carbine, put it on my new pistol, and get a YHM for my carbine.

Here is what the pistol started as. It's a 6.5 Barrel

The YHM is nice. if you have the Midwest wrench it's the same for the YHM.

I had to modify my gas rod on my Adams Arms to work with the Midwest barrel nut. when I told AA they said they won't warrenty due to milling .6 off the orginal rod to work with the thicker free float barrel nut... oh well... I have about a thousand rounds and no issues so far.

I considered building a gas piston pistol... but the cost wasn't what I was liking to build.

                      More Parts

JD Machine Rail.. I bought this at the Del Mar gun show, and I'm going to return it and get their 7" Rail.. I didn't take into accouant that their barrel nut pushes the rail out further.
I also picked up a bolt at the gun show, alittle rough but not bad.

                      Upper parts from JSE

                          I got the 9" for $174.
I went over to JD today and exchanged it for the 7" that was $159 so I saved some money. The barrel nut pushed the 9" out to far for the look I want. Now with the 7" a A2 birdcage just pokes out a bit, I'll take a pic and post later.

I have their flyer from the gun show. If ya want I can post other length prices as well. (and NO I do not Work for them)

The rail will fit 308s as well the only difference is the barrel and timming nut.

That would be cool. I didn't see one. They didn't seem very organized this time.
