Cricut hobby cutter

Has anyone tried using a cricut hobby cutter to make electro etching stencils?
I'd like to find out if it will work before buying one at the local "Peoples Oppressor".

no but that might work very good, i know they have little vinyl cutters that would work great but i dont know what the cost of those are.
