    Swapping flash hider for comp

My google-fu is not very strong today. Is swapping out the flash hinder for a muzzle brake/comp something that can be done in my garage? I have an average assortment of tools and a bench vise. What's involved in doing this? I gather it's more complex than screw off/screw on.
Common sense is so rare these days that it really ought to be classified as a superpower.

Nope, just as easy. Be sure to use a new crush washer and "clock" your new muzzle device for proper orientation. i believe a standard A2 flash hider is 19mm?

Just make sure that the FH isn't pinned to the barrel (usually only on barrels less than 16"). I've heard some manufacturers use LokTite so you may have to use heat to break the seal.

Just clamp the barrel between 2 blocks of wood and twist counterclockwise.
