Rifle Basix Triggers

Anyone ever try one? I am thinking of buying one for my savage. One model is $135 for 4oz to 3 pounds. The other model is $70 and will go 1 pounds to 3 pounds. They are supposed to be owner installable as well. I might get the 1 ld model because I think 4oz may be to light. Right now my trigger is about 2.5 pounds.

Slowly trying to take all the variables out of my savage.

FWIW, I put the trigger from my 12fv into my 10fp so I could get it down to about 2 lbs. You could always order a 12fv trigger from savage.

My pops had a Stevens 200 that we put a Rifle Basix or Timney in (I can't remember which) and it was pretty good. Easy to install and adjust.

For a tactical rifle, to be used in the field, I wouldn't want to go much lower than 2 lbs. For a bench gun, maybe.

Just thinking of going lower. I like the accu-trigger. That reminds me. I'm glad you reminded me it is not a bench gun I need to take the single shot follower out.

FWIW, this was shot using the 10fp trigger in my 12fv last night. Its adjusted as low as it will go-right around 2.5 lbs. This is some load development using some old 4064. Your 10fp in 223 is going to be a kick. I love watching my impacts with no recoil!

I've got one on my Marlin 917V. All I can say is it's light. Way light. Keep the accutrigger. Get the Rifle Basix if you're going strictly bench.
