    Finished my first AK build

This was a Romy M63 kit from Apex. It was well worn but hey, what do ya expect for 100 bucks! I used a flat from AK builder and then I built my own 12 ton shop press (Welder by trade) and then I made my own flat bending jig. I had a AMD-65 before I moved to banafornia and I really liked the folding stock on it so I used one of those instead of the wood fixed stock. The furnature is Choate and ATI, and the finish is Krylon OD green that was applied after sandblasting EVERYTHING for good adheason. Being that I live in CA there is a 30" length requirement when the weapon is in it's shortest config and the AMD folder put it at a hair under 26" folded with a 16" barrel so I used a Tapco extended muzzle break but it was still about an inch under 30. Sooo I took a piece of 1" pipe and carefully welded it to the end of the break. After grinding and sanding you'd never know it didn't come that way. So now I have the folder that I so missed and it's still CA compliant.

Congrats. it looks great. Very nice work, and I like what you did with the brake. If this is your first build, I wanna see what you do next.
