picked up a lil 7x10 to for almost free just had to clean up the years of gunk and adjust the cross slide and it seems to be working great, but the power feed lever is so loose it engages on it own if i don't hold it up, anyone know how to adjust it, or is it just a "shim it up" type of thing ?

I just went out and looked at my 7x10 -- I can see no actual adjustment for friction on the half-nut engagement -- There is adjusment of the gib, three set screws at the far right side.
I suggest you go to the "little machine shop" site and download the operating instructions for this lathe -
It is a pretty good little machine, not the "kits" they sold ten years ago. -
ahhhh thanks buddy looks like theres some set screws under the threading dial indicator will adjust it in the morning .... this deal just keeps getting better traded this for some 'puter work ..... just waiting on a video i rented from smartflix "7x10 Variable Speed Mini Lathe Operations...with Jose Rodriguez " to get a refresher on lathes, its been 30 years since H.S. shop class ....lol
