NDS-3 with Underfolder?

So I've got a line from a friend who has a Romanian underfolder kit, but has an NDS-3 receiver(for the fixed stock trunnion). I'm thinking I'll buy it from him anyways, but I'm wondering if I can make the NDS-3 work with the underfolder rear trunnion?

Dimensionally, the underfolder rear trunnion will fit an NDS-3, but you're going to have to do a lot of work - depending on how much he's selling it for, I think you're better off getting an NDS1-P from the start. Obviously, you would have to drill the holes for the stock parts, and there's also a third pair of holes for the trunnion rivets (bottom side). I'm not sure about this, but the location of the second pair of holes for the short trunnion rivets (middle) might be different too, meaning some welding may be involved.

Having said that, I propose an alternative - get the whole package as offered by your friend, pick up a fixed stock kit, acquire an underfolder stock receiver (bend your own or buy the NDS, whichever you please) and build both!

Easy to do, just lay out the holes and use a carbine cutter for final fit up. I built a Yugo M 70 UF. On a fixed NDS5 , just take the time to lay everything out.
