PSL 54C

I was wondering what it would take to put together a PSL 54C? Specifically the Dragunov receiver and Romanian PSL/FPK 7.65 x 54R parts kit Centerfire Systems has listed on their web site (I would provide a link but I'm at work and that's not possible). I was told the only thing required to do is press some rivets. Any information would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Centerfire is great but they misnamed the kit. It has nothing to do with a dragunov.

You need special tooling (you can make your own potentially), welding, rivetting, and pressing with tons of pressure is required. I would not recommend this for someone who hasnt tried their skills on a cheap AK kit first.

Also I beleive its 54R as in rimmed.

The build is basically the same as an ak. There are a few quirks, but nothing terribly exotic. Check out one of the various ak build tutorials here in the gunsmithing section to get the general idea of what you'll be doing. Don't hesitate to ask questions. Any of the veteran builders here should be able to answer them.

I built one at a local AK build party. I bought the parts kit from Centerfire Systems and I used a built receiver. It builds just like a big AK. Only hard part was pressing out the barrel as it was real tight. I took it out two weeks ago and it shoots great.
