NEED HELP

was putting my muzzle break on my Saiga 7.62 today, thought it was going to be a piece of cake. Used a crush washer and put on some red loctite and could not get it indexed, just couldn't tighten it far enough. Now my problem is I can't get the muzzle break off. I'm sure the loctite is set, is there any way to break down the loctite like soaking it in something. I was reading that you have to heat it up to get the loctite to let go. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you used the red loctite, you're going to have to heat it. If you're in the LA/SFV area I can help.

got it

used my propane torch and got it off. Was able to get 1/2 turn more on the die and got it indexed. All part of the learning curve. Didn't use loctite this time, I'll have to keep an eye on it and see if it starts to back off.

Shouldn't need loctite with the crush. That red is a PITA when it sets up good. Heat is almost the only way. I think they do make a solvent though.

next time, use blue Loctite or fingernail polish
