    Cleaning off Camo From Scope?

    Hi,
I have a good friend who needs to clean off a painted(?) Leupold MK 4 Scope. Someone wanted a desert camo look. Placement of rings will be different, and I what I believe is paint, is on pretty thick and will hinder mounting the scope. Any suggestions? Is the anodizing a goner? Tried some paint thinner on one of the turret covers, and no go. Possible duracoat or epoxy paint?

Update: Found an old thread...I read that Jasco would do the trick.
