Don't know if you consider Auburn close but Seesm is a member here and a gunsmith. You can PM him... he'll probably get it done while ya wait.

If you know somebody with a MIG welder, you can do it yourself.

Can you take off the barrel for shipping
The cost for just the barrel threading 1/2" x 28 TPI and return shipping is $65.00
FYI a barrel needs to be 16" long Per ATF

I have a mig welder, I just dont want to risk damaging anything during the cutting process.

Can you post or send a photo
Any type of weld may not work
          Welding will distort the barrel

Well, there ya go. PM Seesm and find out how much he would charge, shipped. It doesn't cost too much to ship a barrel to Auburn. Package the barrel up with your new FH and send it out. If you don't have the tools to remove the barrel, then just send the whole upper.

To ship just barrel is only $5.00 using USPS and I will send back with no add charges. To ship upper with barrel you can only use UPS or FEDEX is about $20.00 each way. Plus the cost of removing the barrel. When shipping just the barrel it is only a pipe not a firearm.
