    Easy substitute for TCE?

    Anybody know of a an easly found substitute for aresol TCE? I need to wash down some parts, both metal and plastic to prep for painting.
    Common sense is so rare these days that it really ought to be classified as a superpower.

      I belive it is a banned product ..Like Freon.

      Try brake cleaner..non chlorinated.
      Or Dawn in hot water followed with a rinse

        I wash everything down with Zep degreaser and HOT water. Then give everything a shot of acetone and clean dry air before I spray a finish on a gun.

          Hey thanks for the replies guys. I'm trying a scrub down with TSP then blow dry with the air compressor. A final wash with acetone and another blow dry. Should do the trick... I guess.
