Armorer Tools

Hi guys, not sure if I should be posting this here or if it's more appropriate to post in the gunsmithing thread...but I thought I'd post here first. Here's the deal:

I'm going to an AR15 armorer class and I need several armorer tools. I was wondering if any of you have any tools I may possibly borrow, rent, or know where I can buy at a good price. I know most of the tools are not that expensive when purchased individually but it adds up when you've got about 15 items on the list. I'm investing in an armorer's wrench & a few others but still need the following:

Receiver action block
Lower receiver block
Magna-Tip screwdriver set
2 oz ball peen hammer
pin punch set
dial calipers
...the list goes on

I've pretty much checked out Brownells but I don't know where else to look.

if you can help me out...please shoot me a message.

Riflegear has a little set of tools labeled as a "Lower Build Kit," but unfortunately I just checked their site and its out of stock. Sry

When you are shopping for an upper receiver action block get the clam shell type versus the DPMS version. I have seen a few folks torque down on their barrels only to crack their upper receiver. Fulton Armory sells them at a fair price, otherwise try to find them at gun shows

Specialized Armament has a great AR15/M16 armorer tool set. It is a bit pricey, but worth every penny. Roll pin holders are a third hand. Their bolt ejector tool is super nice. The punches are excellent. Add a small hammer and a roll of blue painters tape and you are GTG.

This section is probably going to get you better results for AR stuff. But, you are in the right area. Just the Centerfire area has a lot of AR guys. I'm just sayin'

I bought some stuff from Brownell's and TenPercent. The course at FS was pretty good, I learned a lot. I wound up only using a third of the tools I bought but I suppose it was a good investment either way. Thanks again.
