    Trigger mechanism interferes with selector

In a recent Romanian G build the selector lever would not close and had major interference with trigger mechanism (dis-connector). We took quite a bit of metal off the rear of the dis-connector before it would clear the tab (paddle) on the selector lever arm.
    It was an Arsenal FCG.
I bought a TAPCO G2 Fire Control Group and had a similar problem.
I was reluctant to take any metal off the Selector Lever since there was ample on the dis-connector.
Is this normal? Something that I should expect on future builds?

Did you pull the trigger and push it past? They seem to be inconsistent on both of my build I had to grind on the selector lever but one more than the other.

Usually you would have to notch the selector rather than the disconnector. There is a spring housed in the back section of the disconnector.

Only remove the section of the selector "Tab" that interferes with the disconnector. You still want a "finger" that acts as a safety to prevent the trigger from being pulled.

Yep it's pretty common. You can either trim the lever, or be lazy like me and spin the sucker in counter clockwise. Just lift it over the rear trunnion rivets/selector stop, and you're good 2 go.

That's how I usually do it too.

Is this upon assembly? My last kit had the full auto selector which has extra metal and requires installing the selector before the trigger.

Problem is, you cannot do this with a Red Star Arms trigger plate. That's what Bill and everyone else I've ever coached uses.

                  common issue.
I notch the selector like munkeeboi suggests on my builds. Doesn't take much.
