1911 build ???

Been thinking about building an 1911 from an 80% frame. Already found a frame and a parts kit. How hard is it going to be to build one from a kit? Also would I be able to do this with hand tools and a drill press, or am I going to have to go and buy a mill?

there are a ton of ways people claim to be able to build a 1911 frame without a mill. im going say its much much easier with a mill, especially a mill with a DRO. with all the hole placement, rails, and surfacing the sides to get width in spec. if you are set on taking on a project like this, its best to set up a plan of attack! check the web lots of info. buy the books on gunsmithing 1911s. anyways good luck and go for it! post pics!
