I just got the gun from another calgun member... And I wanted to see the barrel on how's the condition. As I was taking it apart it was fine... But when I was putting it back together I heard a loud snap noise then the gun got stuck half cocked... But I manage to pull it out and put it back together... Now here's the problem... The hammer doesnt really strike the pin... What did wrong??? Need help...

hey buds, I've fieldstrip it after every trip from the range to clean it. Never ran into any trouble. Remember when put the slide back, you have to point the front of barrel down, give couple shakes to ensure that the barrel is fully moved forward, then pull the slide back, align with the mark then push the slide stopper in. Oh, and the SigPro has additional fire ping safety mechanism, that if you don't pull the trigger, the hammer will get blocked and won't strike the pin. you can test it by pull the trigger, keep holding it, and use your other thumb to push the hammer toward the slide, you'll feel roughly 1/8" hammer travel where it meet the firing pin. When let go off the trigger, you won't be able to repeat the previous step.Last edited by red_eyez; 02-21-2011, 9:26 PM.Comment
