    922r NooB Question

If you use a "milled" receiver for an AK either 47 or 74, does that count as 3 922r parts? Since you are not using the original imported front trunion or and rear trunion???

The receiver counts as one of the parts for 922r whether it's a stamped or a milled rec.

There is no trunnions on a milled receiver (front or rear).
Hence there are only 15 countable parts on a milled AK build (with muzzle device).
If the milled receiver was produced in the US then of course it counts as 1 US made part.
If the receiver was re-welded from scrap steel (after a kit is demilled to BATF standards it 'is' considered scrap steel) then it becomes a US made piece.
      Hope that helps.
