I recently installed a new Geissele NM (SR) trigger in my lower. I have used this trigger for 5 matches so far and have had no issues until yesterday. All of a sudden after three shots into the 200 yard standing slow fire portion of the match I lost my 2nd stage on the trigger. The trigger felt like I was using a stock AR trigger. Between stages I did pull the upper/lower apart and check for anything obvious but did not see anything. Once I got home I pulled the trigger out, inspected and re installed the trigger and dry fired the thing about 100 times. Feels fine now. I checked the adjustment set screws and nothing moved ether. So my question is has anyone else had any problems with the Giessele NM SR trigger?

Geissele NM Service Rifle Trigger problem...

Usually when this happens, with a trigger that has been working properly, some crud or debris gets underneath the trigger between the trigger and the receiver, prohibiting the trigger from resetting.
Match triggers are more susceptible to this than service triggers.
What kind of upper receiver are you running? Rock River? Is the sight straight?Last edited by kendog4570; 02-06-2011, 8:55 PM. -
Yeah. That's what it seemed to be. After I took everything apart, cleaned it and reassembled it worked fine. I'm using a WOA and a RRA (I was using the RRA that day) The front sight is not straight, I have to add 3 1/2 mins of windage to the left for a 200 yard zero. If your Ken B I think we know some of the same people...PM incoming.Usually when this happens, with a trigger that has been working properly, some crud or debris gets underneath the trigger between the trigger and the receiver, prohibiting the trigger from resetting.
