Rifle Stock Help?

Word of mouth and a couple phone calls has turned up negative.

I am looking for someone to skillfully inlet and pillar/glass bed a new laminated wood stock on a Vanguard .30-06. I could try myself, however, I don't want to make a mistake.

If it really is that simple, what tools would I need? For pillars, would I need a drill press? (because I don't have one and have never used one)

Are their any gunsmiths in the Vacaville/Fairfield area (or beyond) that would be willing to perform this task?

I'm also looking to get an elderly Ruger re-blued and it would be awesome to use the same 'smith.
