    Recrowning Question.

If your crown is uneven could you use a recrowning tool like you get at brownells to even it out. What I mean is could you make the center where the tool is actually cutting even because thats what matters right.

Yeah the tool has a pilot that fits the bore. I have one and have tried it. Far as I'm concerned it is a lathe project. Other folk have had better luck
    good luck

yeah a lathe would be the best way to go about it but if i can get by,by doing it with a handheld tool id rather go that rout.My barrel is uneven and i just want it to even without having to take it to a gunsmith.

Well I cut into my barrel to far i thought my barrel had threads on it so I cut off the barrel shroud and in the process cut through the barrel so i had to cut the rest off.I got it as even as i could with what tools i have but its still not even enough.

You're in North Highlands, c'mon down towards Sac (my office is in the Arden area) and you can cut a target crown on it with my tool. Only takes a few minutes. You can just buy me lunch and we'll call it even (unless ya want to buy the tool, that is). What caliber is it btw?
