ak 47 New sight post, problem

Im putting in a tritium front sight post, in a ak 47. I see the threads are split as my old sight post was. But this new one starting the screw down its snug, but the lower I go its looser. I understand this as that split gets smaller so my question is.... do I widen the split before install, or force it wider after the sight is screwed in.

Im thinking after as I can access it underneath, but want to make sure. See originally the one that came with my rifle was broken when I was adjusting it, so im worried if I tried to force that split before installing I will break this new sight.

So far im using blue loctite, but its still moves a little with the tool, where my other rifles its really sticky and they take some effort to screw.
Also I can use red loctite if needed, but im guessing I just need to adjust that split somehow

Well I did find a way to get it if someone else has this problem. First I added red loctite and screwed the post all the way down. Then I carefully took a long thin screwdriver and lightly tapped the split to force it open some. Took about 3 tries to figure out how hard to tap it. Then unscrewed post to a measured height. It was very snug.

Took it out shooting and had to adjust one turn and it was tight, doesnt move now. Havent tried to unscrew it but I will worry about that when I have to

I dont think the loctite does anything, especially after shooting but I had added it incase what I did didnt work, which it did so you could probably skip the loctite part.
