Stuck gas block help

I got a low profile gas block with 2 alien head bolts that are stuck. When I put this together I think I used the wrong loctite, now I can't get it lose, I found a alien wrench that is just a little to big and tap it in, now it is just twisting and I can see it will just brake off if I fores it. I do have a torch to heat it up, will this damage the barrel which is a Alexander Arms 16" 6.5 Grendel?

Get a Torx wrench that will fit the stripped out head, the Torx needs to be large enough that it has to be driven it. A screwdriver or T-handle works best.

Heat the screw just enough to soften the LocTite, drive in the Torx, tap the Torx handle with a hammer while unscrewing. Your allen wrench may work if you still have a good bite with it.

Thanks Swifty that worked, and the screws are still good too. I need them for the new barrel I got, a Saturn Spartan 18" 6.5 Grendel Now I still have some time to go brake it in.

450 degrees will break down any threadlocker, and wont hurt the metal. So have at it with a propane torch. It could fry a finish other than parkerizing, bluing or gun kote (or similar). Duracoat probably wont withstand the heat.

Use heat + a punch and hammer to gently shock the threads, it will break free no problem, you can also use a little household wax - warm up the bolt/gas block and touch the wax to it so it will suck in, obviously not so hot that the wax just smokes off.

If you hold the torch away from the metal you can heat it up without harming the finish, holding it too close will burn the finish off and yet not heat it up as much as the first method.
