Help, Trying to remove scope mount from SKS

Picked up a 1953 Tula SKS tonight and I am trying to inspect the rifle but first need to remove the scope mount. It has 4 alenhead screws on the back of it that I removed, giving it about a half inch of play. but it is still stuck on there. Any ideas?

I'm not familiar with that mount. There should be a pin through the two side holes.

Put one of the side screws back in, use a punch from the opposite side and try to gently tap the pin out.

That's good news Quinc. I've left a few pieces of brass in the pits myself, I might just take you up on the offer someday. Thanks for the offer!
