    That is hard to answer..

It is all about PERSONAL taste...

I prefer a uniform tactical black

What's the difference between matte and tactical? I assume that tactical means flat/matte?

Lauer really markets a "tactical" sheen option for their paint? LMAO!

I can't wait to order paint at Home Depot and ask for that one!!!

The really funny thing is you can adjust the amount of gloss on Duracoat by varying the amount of hardener.

Tactical Black is ultra flat. It is impressive when the whole rifle and all of it's parts are finished with Tactical series.

Although the sheen can be slightly modified using a little less or more hardener, the hardener ratio should remain close to 12:1. trying to achieve Ultra flat from matte may compromise the integrity of the finish if the ratio falls below 14:1.
