Thanks guys
Vadar Spade thanks for doing your write up that was a big help to see all the pics when I was wondering what exactly I was doing.
hylander ya on a drill press.... I was hesitent befor I bought the press for another project because I keep seeing messed up lowers from trying it that way but it was actually fairly straight forward once I sat down and startedLast edited by Paper Boy; 11-19-2010, 10:52 AM.Comment

Dunno where you are in SoCal, but I have a mill and access to a .308 jig now. Not mine, so I couldn't "rent" the jig out. But it can be used at my place.
JustinFor any questions contact me by email.
Thanks,
Justin

Finally had a chance to sit down with the vinyl cutter and come up with something I liked.
I used an old cell phone charger that I clipped the end off and alligator clipped the end of the wires. Picture of the specifics of the charger below. I went ahead and tested a scrap piece of aluminum to make sure that everything would go well before I put it on the lower.

Used a vinegar water salt solution, placed the mark where I wanted it and went to town.

Towards the middle of the whole thing I realized if I clamped the q-tips I could work on other stuff near by and just keep working my way down the stencil.

And the final product

Next is serial numbers and markings, but its an ongoing project so who knows when I will get around to it.
One final shot
