well, i feel a certain vacuum of late, in the... substance... of some info on the board. im not into ar15 accessories or this/that brand battles, and whatnot. so i felt it is time to put up or shut up. if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.

so without further ado, i am attempting to write a step-by-step guide on how to disassemble and reassemble the hk trigger pack. mine is out of my c93, but i imagine the 91 is pretty similar, if not the same.
please note, i have no idea what the actual names of some of these things are called. forewarned.
this work can be done fairly quickly, using only parts of the rifle itself. no tools are needed.

first, with the lower portion off the rifle, release the tension on the hammer (hang on to it, pull trigger, and ease it forward[not sure if you need to at this point, but i do it first anyways]) and rotate the safety upwards to the 12o'clock position. easy, right? it slides right out.


next step is to get the trigger pack out of the rifle. lift up on the ejector and rotate it back and out.

next step, take the front handguard pin and push out the pin for the hammer. you could probably use a cartridge for this, but i dont like random ammos floatin' round while im fixin stuff. keep a hand on the hammer, its spring loaded. these parts will be in your hands when youre done. (disregard handguard pin, its the funny lookin one.)


next, you can remove the trigger and disconnector. i used the hammer spring, eh, rod... thingie... these parts are spring loaded as well, use caution.

here's all the goodies that come out. trigger, disconnector, trigger spring.


next, out comes the disconnector spring and a little barrel doohickey. pretty easy, it will probably just fall out of the pack once the disconnector is no longer riding on top of it.


the ejector comes out easily, just push the pin out from the inside. note the little spring in the back, it will invariably be filled with nasty stuff.


and that's it! its all taken apart, and you can go to town with your toothbrush, or qtips or whatever the heck you folk use to clean stuff.

for reassembly, just put the ejector back in first (at least thats how i do it.) you dont get a clever photo for that. even a caveman could do it.

next step is to get the trigger set up for install. note the spring orientation, its important.


snake the back of the trigger around the stop, spring up over the pinhole for the hammer, and muscle it into place. capture it on one side (the side with more meat on it) and prepare for the disconnector. (the shoes belong to mama, i dont wear them. thanks.)

replace disconnector spring and that lil barrel doohickey, and since you forgot how it came out, my picture shows you the correct orientation of the disconnector spring. the trigger is still captured, and we are ready to install the disconnector.


since you also already forgot which way the disconnector goes in, its orientation is shown here. note the detent inside, which you will have to defeat when placing the pin.


the trick to this is to use that hammer spike thingamajig to capture the disconnector on the opposite side from the pin thats dangling halfway out of your trigger pack right now. push the disconnector into the void at the top of the trigger, fighting the disconnector spring pressure, and press the pin in while lining it up with the hammer spike... thing... it will stop about halfway, and not budge any further. but the disconnector is now captured, and you can just tap the pin in the rest of the way with the buttstock. all us awesome folk use the buttstock. i couldnt snap a photo with my teeth, so youll have to make do with a photo of the disconnector in place.


next, comes the hammer and spring. make sure the rod is lined up with the hole in the rear (giggity) of the housing(photo), and just push the hammer down and slide the pin in. easy as pie!


congratulations, your trigger pack is back in one piece.

the last step is to put it back in the handle/housing. you might have to pry the top of the housing just a tad for the pack to clear, then slide it straight down. replace the safety at the twelve oclock position and slide it back down to safe.


thats all there is to it. its really not that hard.

hope yall get some use out of this, honestly the hardest part is resizing the photos.

Thank you for your hard work on this! As the proud owner of a registered HK93 - I appreciated it. But, just on the lighter side, that was A LOT of work for information on a rifle that has been banned by name for over 20 years. I'm guessing you can count the number of real HK 93's in the state on relatively few hands. (relatively) Yes, yes, I know you can use the trigger in PTR's etc., but really, they're not REAL HK's (right)

yeah, i know what you mean. i used the one from my c93, century clone. not the real deal, but its good enough for now. mostly i did this because i havent seen anything like it on the internet at all (nationwide), and partly because i needed something to occupy my brain. you know what they say about idle hands.
