    No, I would not advise welding a bullet guide. The trunnion is heat treated and welding could have a negative effect on that heat treatment and possibly weaken the trunnion.
    Factory is a bullet guide installed with a rivet, the screw type works well if lock tight is used and the hole is cleaned prior to installation.
