Anyone ever use Duracoat?

I have an AR that I would like to paint digi-camo, but I'm too chicken**** to put paint on my gun. Any of you guys or gals ever use Duracoat? If so, show me how your guns came out. My lower and upper are different shades of black so id like to cam it out.
Any pics and tips will be appreciated.

Anyway, as it's been said, Prep is EVERYTHING. The DuraCoat website has full kits: stencils and all the colors to do a particular patern. HERE

There's some good info on there.

I like duracoat. I do it as kinda a side job/hobby...anyway its not that difficult to do, but I definitely wouldnt recommend a digital camo job as your first project.

-prep is the key to everything. the DC adheres really well to metal surfaces with minimal if any sanding/blasting. Plastic not so much, results vary depending on type of plastic. If you cant sandblast, lightly rough up surfaces the best you can. Any question, dont be afraid to call DC directly...very nice and helpful.

-the harbor freight air brush can get the job done but they dont hold up well.
if you plan on doing more that one or 2 projects, spring for a better airbrush or start by using an hlpv setup if you already have a larger compressor that will run it.

-take your time and read the directions that come with the bottles. Dont forget white(21). Alot of the projects need a white basecoat.

-Give it the necessary time to cure...which is explained with the directions. I dont heat my stuff but others swear by it.

-When all is said and done...its is some tough stuff if applied correctly. If not done right...it can and will flake right off.

It's easy to do. Patterns, I haven't tried. The stuff is very good. Supposedly Ceracoat is tougher stuff but harder to use. Duracoat is easy.
