USP is kinda tricky to get completely stripped for a good refinish. Arizona Response Systems used to be an authorized H&K refinishing source....Robar does very good work as well.

If you are just doing the slide, go slow and pay attendion were all the parts go. Duracoat should be ok on the slide, just don't get a thick build up inside the slide surfaces where the slide rails and internals live.

If your pistol is nice and you want the best, send it out for a professional finish. If its just a project gun, its a good time to learn.

Robar is dedicated to providing you with the highest quality customization, gunsmithing, and metal finishing for your firearm.

      Thanks guys,

My hk just has holster wear on the slide, not real worried about it just thought if there was something i could do my self i would try it but if i have to completely take the slide apart ,then im not sure i want to do that my self.

can we see pics of said battle-hardened usp? i wish i had enough scars on my usp's to warrant a refinish... mind you, i wouldnt frefinish it, i'd just pretend i broke out of vault 101..
