the lowers will be around 100 since that what everyone sells them for and rental will be roughly 50.00 per receiver. we havn't figuered the rental price on the cnc yet but it will be close to that and engraving being extra.

That sounds like a good deal for $150 for a custom lower, I would get in on this except I'm no longer in CA I will probably just go FTF a lower without a 10 day wait or any paperwork for that matter. And then afterwards I will go get some on list lowers and off roster pistols. All without going through a FFL. Oh and get some 30 rounders and drop them freely. And maybe get a M16 later.

I have some interest in doing an AR pistol lower but am currently in the middle of a couple of other projects (Bulgarian AK-74 build, and Milled receiver AK pistol re-weld) so will have to gauge my finances toward the time you're planning on doing this.
Please keep me in the loop via PM as to your time schedule when more is decided.
I am in the East Bay but willing to make the drive on a weekend day for something like this.

                  Where?

I am interested in a custom lower. I have Tuesdays and Wednesdays off of work. When and where would this take place? I live in the bay area.

i will find out all the details saturday and what he is willing to do in regards to that. like i said it is just a feeling out process and every aspect of the machining process will be done by the individual, so no laws will be broken. another member mentioned doing a group buy on lowers then having them shipped to the buyer then bringing them to the party as another option.

By "Central Cal area" do you mean San Luis Obispo?
Life is like having a map with precise directions and exact stops, you find out that your directions and stops change as you progress further down your original map.

OP is located in Exeter CA (that is what his location says) which is near Visalia about an hour South of Fresno.
