    Question about MPA pistols

    Hey Guys,

Is an MPA 30 the same as an MPA 930?
    Are these legal in CA?
Can we build one here in our state?
I was looking at FTF web page and saw the center weld part for sale and was wondering if anyone has ever built one.
Although they done have the side plates.
I wonder if you could use side plates from an M11 and just cut them to length?
I'd like to build the mini one day after I build the M11/9.

The 930 is the mini 9mm, the 30 is the full ssize 9mm.

It would be possible to make your own receiver, but I'm not sure of the legality of just replacing the side plates being that the receiver is a single piece of stamped steel.

If you were to use a virgin bottom section, you could definitely add your own sideplates.
