    Removing AK muzzle brake

    Hi Guys,

I have an I.O. Inc. Casar and am having trouble removing the factory slant muzzle brake. I searched quite a few pages and was unable to find anything about it for AK. In my search, I have found that many factories weld the brake on. I don't see any obvious places where it may have been welded, but I'm not a very experienced handyman either. So far, I've tried using a towel and a wrench, but was unable to move it, and didn't want to force the issue. Any tips on getting this thing off? Thanks guys

Push in the spring loaded retainer located at 12 o clock, and turn to the right. It's threaded in reverse.

No, I'll sleep when I'm dead. I was working at the shop until 11:15.

            Money never sleeps kids!
Since its an AK, like he said, push the pin down, grab a vice grip and turn it lefty. Don't worry about trashing the crappy factory slant muzzle brake.
