Safety lever problems

So I'm having kind of an interesting problem putting the safety lever in my egyptian kit....I've tried it with a Tapco G2 FCG and an Arsenal 2 stage FCG and it gets hung up on the disconnector both times, even with pulling the trigger so that the disconnector moves forward. I think that the solution to this problem is probably taking a little bit off of the safety where it is getting caught, but I thought I would come here to check first.
On a side note, when I replaced the Arsenal FCG in the egyptian with the G2, I put the Arsenal FCG in my Saiga, and now the safety lever won't fit in that. It fit in fine when the G2 FCG was in. This leads me to believe that a little bit of the disconnector on the Arsenal FCG needs to be shaved off, since its gotten stuck in both guns that I've put it in. Once again, I figured I would come here to check.

the same thing happened on my romy build, i just looked on the safty where it was making contact and ground a little away from it until i got it in, hope this helps if you need a pic let me know ill throw one up tomorrow
