    Home made bullet button tool

I know someone is already marketing a similar device that is very reasonably priced, and works well. But since I was already using "Magpuls", it was a easy build for less then a penny (if you already have MagPuls.)

Step 1: Get some nails, your choice. I used 1" roof nails.

Step 2: Cut the nail to your desired length, and round off the end. I also dropped mine in a bottle of bluing to color them. Not necessary, but looks better.

Step 3: Take a smaller nail, heat it up and melt a hole in the side of the Magpul. Push the cut nail thru from the inside.

Step 4: Stretch the Magpul over the end of the magazine. This will firmly hold the nail in place, and require no gluing of the nail. Or, you can glue the whole unit together if you choose.

          Sell it to the Military!
          Just kidding. Nice work.
Screw the environment! The sooner we trash this place the sooner we will have the political will to explore space and conquer the known universe, spreading like locust we will plunder, crush new enemies, take their women and if we are lucky, we shall meet our fate on the battlefield.

I've also played with putting the same thing on the Magpul dust covers... I played with them using duct tape... I've used the real deal, Ultimate Bullet Button tools (I have some installed on my 10rd metal mags)...

I do like the Ultimate bullet button tool, but like you I have about a dozen of those magpuls...

Nice and innovative. Always nice to see the great minds on calguns! Even as simple a tool as this. One question.. Scratchy, scratchy, scratch-scratch?

for mine I rounded off the part i cut off and when i put on the paint i used it was thick. I haven't had any problems scratching my gun. Though, I dont generally miss when using them so...

HOWEVER, IF I did I wouldn't care because my AR-15's purpose is not to look purrdy... Now, my AK's job is to look purrdy and a be safe queen.
