    AUSTRIAN FAL FLASH HIDER REMOVAL

Yeah, the big, long-prong. I bent the prongs when trying to remove it a while back & have a new one to replace it: but I still can't get the BASTARD off!!! (and I'm in the middle of selling the rifle!!) Any help? (yes, I know about the LH threads)

It's probably silver soldered in place, Torch time.
Put a wrench on it, try to unscrew it while aplying the mapp torch.
Screw the environment! The sooner we trash this place the sooner we will have the political will to explore space and conquer the known universe, spreading like locust we will plunder, crush new enemies, take their women and if we are lucky, we shall meet our fate on the battlefield.

If I'm not mistaken you must remove the pin driven into lug on bottom of flash hider which has a small round or half round bit which is in a woodrift type hole in barrel. When Tapco was closing out FAL parts they had those flash hiders for $.99 each and I bought 30 and all have that same type fixing procedure. No I don't want to get rid of any Tapco hiders, sorry.

Overnight KROIL soak + Heat + Barrel Vise + Crowbar between prongs. Popped RIGHT off.
