    P-90 mag problem

I have a Ruger P-90 .45. It has had a problem with the mag follower digging into the frame just bellow the feed ramp. I sent it back to Ruger and they did a file job on the frame and ground a little off of the follower and sent it back. They also sent a note that they had fired 20 rounds and the problem had disappeared. I fired 100 rounds and I can see it is still creating a gouge. I posted a similar thread about this a few months ago and was advised to go to a plastic mag follower. The bad part is that would reduce the capacity from 8 rounds to 7. I was told the plastic follower needed a different mag spring than the one that came with the 8 round mag. They gave me a part# 566219 at Midway but this # does not corrispond to any thing at Midway. Do I really need a different spring? and if so where can I get one?

A mag is what, 30$? Just get a new mag or followers.

I would just get the plastic followers and new springs. I know it's a matter of principle, but is your time really worth it? If the followers and springs are only 5$ a mag I wouldn't bother with the factory anymore.
