    Yes, the reason is I'm an English major with no science background.

    I saw a thread about it over on the AK Files and I loved the way it looked, very pretty. I was thinking "Wow! That would really look nice on an AR." So I googled around and found nothing on it. I cam to CalGuns to ask, and they promptly pointed out why.

    I'm still looking at unique finishes to use, but now that it's been explained to the lit-nerd why you can't rust blue aluminum, I'll keep looking around.
