I found this article about making an elevation adjustable front sight for SMLE's...

I immediately had the thought that you might be able to have a much nicer finished product by using AK/SKS front sight posts.

Are the threads/ diameter of those posts a standard drill/tap size?

Anyone in the OC that could do the work?
