    Books

Anyone recommend any how to books on gunsmithing? I am particularly interested in the 1911 and Glock... but would be open to just general knowledge.

Two words... Patrick Sweeney!! He has to be about best author pertaining to guns and smithing. He has two volumes on the 1911 alone! I have both and his ak, ar, revolver and rifle smithing book. He writes so you can understand has lots of good pics and keeps your attention with his anecdotes and side comments. B&N usually carries atleast one of his titles on the shelf.

+1 x 100! Patrick Sweeny 3rd edition Gunsmithing Pistols & Revolvers was my first gunsmithing book and it is perfect for the beginner or the more experienced. He has a great way of writing as if he was over your shoulder talking to you while you work on your piece. Definitely a good buy.

You can't beat Jerry Kuhnhausen's books about the 1911.
