    Barrel scratches... help!

Bayo-lug bipod slipped off while shooting and made two very nice, even scratches on my barrel from foregrip to muzzle. Anyone know an easy way to cover up or rub out scratches on a parked barrel? This is an RRA upper.

    Thanks all!

Hopefully you will be able to save me from kicking myself all week.

So, you're upset because you have put a couple character marks on your gun? If it's black and you just want to quickly hide the scratches, you can use a sharpie. If it's blued, you can use some cold bluing. If it's parkerized, you could re parkerize it. But, it's just a scratch on a $100 barrel. I would not spend more than $10 to "fix" it. Sooner or later, you'll scratch it again.

"character marks"? OK OK point taken. These are weapons, and not museum art...

Cold blueing in liquid or paste form would hide and protect the area.
