A quick plug from a happy customer.
I recently aquired a S&W 65-5 that was badly cosmetically challanged. Firstly, someone had taken a file to the edges of the pistol and really scarred it up. I cannot imagine what the previous owner was trying to accomplish but it looked horrible.
Then, some other guy (me) started polishing the pistol with Mothers Mag polish thinking it would take out the gouges from the previous guy. And I might have been successful in about a decade of polishing.
Anyhow, I started searching for someone to glass-bead blast it. And as luck had it, I found John's Gunsmithing in Monterey Park.
John turned it around in less than a week, and the job was really well done. I'm really pleased with the end result. It looks like a brand new gun and is now way too nice for my origional plan of using is as a bottom of the trunk/toolkit pistol.
Anyhow, just a plug, as from my past experience, I have had a difficult time finding a good gunsmith.
