Need Avice!!!! Bad Gun Smith experience

Long story short, I get my upper back from the worst gunsmith in the world. I had a Houge free flow tube installed on my upper, when I got it back the tube and barrel were loose. He swore the rifle was ok to fire, but we all know better. So I took it upon myself to take it apart and tighten up the tube and pin everything back together. Everything is working fine. My feed ramps and barrel are tight, and they line up. Do I have to check the head space on it now? Any advice/help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

I believe the head space is on the shoulder in the chamber. Head spacing should have been done by the barrel manufacturer.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Who is the worst gunsmith in the world??...

      ...inquiring minds, etc.

Seriously, you may save a fellow Calgunner or 2 the crap you experienced.

      Thanks

True wealth is time. Time to enjoy life.

Life's journey is not to arrive safely in a well preserved body, but rather to slide in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "holy schit...what a ride"!!

The headspace is completely controlled within the barrel and bolt.
The tightness of the barrel nut or handguard will not effect the headspace.
As long as the barrel nut is aligned correctly so that the gas tube is floating within the 4 leaf clover hole and the handguard is tight, you are good.
